Laughlin (River Stampede)

Thursday 1st and Friday 2nd

We arrived over the mountains to Laughlin and our hotel, Harrah's. It is collossal! It even has it's own casino! What madness. People sat glazed for hours playing bandit games, fastened via an umbilical cord in the shape of a credit card! Gaming tables that never stopped. We had planned for over a week to come and see the rodeo so we enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and had a mad gamble of $1 on the one arm bandit....which of course was promptly lost!!!
Friday we went to the Rodeo and what an event it was! Everything we hoped for and more. The atmosphere was electric and Nigel took over 800 photos while I took a whole Flip full of video! So sorry for the overload of pictures but it was very difficult to chose which shots to put on the blog!
Nigel fancied jumping the Electroglide over the motocross ramp but I reckoned he had the wrong tyres fitted so he decided to give it a miss!
Then we set off at 5pm for a 200 mile VERY cold and windy ride over the mountains to Flagstaff arriving at 9pm
