Thursday 17th
We got the camp packed up and Nigel and I made our way to ‘Skips’ to look for some boots. The others stayed behind and waited for Martin and Rachel to catch us up.
Des, Pat, Sandra & Graeme decided to head off to the hotel as they had had enough of the beach. So Nige and I had a chat to Martin & Rachel and then headed off for a walk around the Prom area. We got an ice cream which must have been a minimum of 2000 calories! It was a big tub of ice cream mixed on a marble slab with a chocolate Brownie cake, Pecans, chocolate sauce & toffee sauce! Lush!
After a wander around the town we headed to the beach for a sunbathe.
Then it was time for off! We did 200 miles along some beautiful scenery. Me videoing some very shaky video! Nigel danced his way to Maddison on the front of the bike, to Eye of the Tiger & Dire Straits , even being joined by the passenger of a passing car!
The rest of the evening was spent having a shower, dinner and looking for tomorrow's accommodation! We fell into bed happy but exhausted.
Even at this early stage, it really does look like THE holiday of a lifetime. Who's the coloured bird with Graeme?
